Special Assembly on Mother’s Day & Rabindranath Tagore Jayanti

The assembly commenced with the school prayer, followed by a beautiful thought of the day, word for the day, plant of the day and National & sports news. As 2023 has been declared as the International Year of Millets, awareness regarding the same was also expressed in the assembly in a creative and effective manner.
On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore, his biography was shared amongst the young learners in order to empower them about his contributions towards the society. A book review of ‘Kabuliwala’ written by Rabindranath Tagore was also presented in front of the audience. In the spirit of paying tribute to him, students sang a song written by Tagore.
For the celebration of Mother’s day, a thoughtful poem was presented dedicated to all the mothers. Students shared information about how Mother’s Day is celebrated in different parts of the world. Finally, students presented a dance performance dedicated to all the mothers. All in all, it was a high-spirited and thoughtful presentation. The assembly was concluded by the headmistress’s address to the audience
