Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta Ek Saath

On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, Salwan Public School, Gurugram conducted a special cleanliness drive as a part of the nationwide campaign ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’. The drive, named “Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta,” was planned to pay homage to Bapu and his vision to promote and practice cleanliness and hygiene in the surroundings.

The event was executed with the active participation of dedicated students, teachers, parents and community members under the able guidance of the Principal Ms Rashmi Malik.

The drive commenced at 9:30 AM from the school gate and lasted for one and a half hour. The enthusiastic students chanted the slogan of ‘Swachhata ka Naara hai, Salwan School Humara hai, Humne ye Thaana hai…ki Bharat ko Swachh banana hai’ to raise awareness amongst the residents of the society around the school campus. The lanes were cleaned and the waste was disposed in the segregated manner at the end of the drive.

The ‘Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta Ek Saath’ cleanliness drive left a lasting impact on both the participating students and the community. It helped to inculcate a sense of responsibility towards maintaining cleanliness in our surroundings. The participants were appreciated for their efforts and thoughtfulness.

Salwan Public School will continue to conduct such drives in future and spread the message of Hygiene and clean surroundings to all.
