Inter-house Ballad Competition

An Inter-house Ballad Competition was organized by the English Faculty on 19th August, 2023 at Salwan Public School, Gurugram.
Students from classes VI-IX enthusiastically participated in the competition as they got an opportunity to exhibit their talent and confidence. The competition inspired the young performers to come forward and recite on stage in a group. The students came up with different poems on the theme Humorous and Legendary and performed with great fondness and zeal.
The participants from respective houses – Akash, Prithvi, Sagar and Srishti left no stone unturned to win for their house. Students were judged on the parameters like confidence, voice modulation, memorization and overall presentation.
The young poets enthralled the audience with their articulation and memory skills while reciting poems. It was a splendid opportunity for them to gain confidence through stage exposure. Everyone was delighted after seeing their pleasing performances and enjoyed the perfection of expression, thoughts, emotions, rhythm and music of words.
The judges Ms Vaishali Sibbal and Dr Savita Upadhyay appreciated the performances, the enchanting melodies and captivating tales prepared by the talented contestants.
The Winners of the competition were as follows:
Sagar house and Srishti house bagged the First Position by scoring 75/80 points.
Akash house and Prithvi house bagged the Second Position by scoring 67/80 points.
