Junior Athletic Meet- Funathon ’23

Sport isn’t just a good way to keep children’s bodies healthy, but it also has psychological benefits and teaches them important life skills too. It also gives children a sense of belonging and helps in broadening their mindset. Keeping in view the same, the Junior Athletic Meet- Funathon ’23 was organized on 26th February 2023 at Salwan Public School, Gurugram. More than 700 young students of classes I to III participated in the same and around 1500 enthusiastic parents came together to witness this cheerful event.

Under the sunshine, with great team spirit and excitement, the field and track events combined to create a brilliant atmosphere. There were various courses of events, starting with Surya namaskar followed by a spectacular treat of coordination- Marchpast, showcasing the three Indian Armed Forces, The Indian Army, The Indian Air Force, and The Indian Navy with the tagline of “Sewa Paramo Dharma“,  Nabha Sprsham Deeptam” and “Sham-no Varuna” respectively. A series of zestful races included Bag pack race, sack race, pyramid race and balloon race. Trailed by a mesmerizing Yoga performance were tableau representation, showcasing the singularity and uniqueness of different cultures of India.

The day was rounded off with the address of Director Sir and Principal ma’am followed by the medal ceremony for the winners of each race. A huge and scrumptious array of food stalls were offered by the parents which were greatly appreciated by everyone present at the sports meet. Altogether, it was indeed a great and glorious show, full of joy, enthusiasm, and energy levels ascended through the roof, leaving high vibration vivacity. Finally, the meet was declared closed  with a dash of Zumba, accompanied by the guests and staff members.
