Dedicated to Goddess Saraswati, Basant Panchami marks the arrival of the Spring season in India. Saraswati is the Goddess of knowledge, music, learning and arts. It is believed that without her blessings, the world would be shrouded in ignorance, as she represents enlightenment. On this auspicious day, a new relief sculpture of Goddess Saraswati was inaugurated in school. The celebration commenced with rendition of Saraswati Vandana. Thereafter, children were apprised regarding the significance of celebrating the festival.
