CPD Training

In the 21st century, transformative changes have touched every aspect of human endeavour. At Salwan Schools, managed by the Salwan Education Trust, the ethos is to consistently update, adapt, and evaluate all initiatives. The Teacher Development Programme plays a crucial role in ensuring that our educators remain aligned with evolving pedagogical trends.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) requires teachers and school leaders to participate in at least 50 hours of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) annually, in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which prioritizes teacher empowerment and training. Of these, 25 hours must be completed through programs conducted by CBSE, state authorities, or regional government teacher training institutions. The remaining 25 hours can be achieved through collaborations with CBSE school complexes or in-house programs.

Continuous Professional Development (CPD) is recognized as an essential component of teacher education, ensuring that educators maintain a high level of expertise and keep their professional skills and knowledge current. At Salwan Schools, professional development is a continuous endeavour to elevate educational standards. For over two decades, the Trust has organized a dedicated 15-day program for all Salwan school teachers.

Salwan Public School, Gurugram, has created a robust in-house training module for its staff. The CPD program blends natural learning experiences with well-structured activities, thoughtfully designed to benefit both educators and the school. This initiative empowers teachers to reflect, rejuvenate, and enhance their commitment as transformative agents, aligned with the moral purpose of education. Through CPD, educators develop essential knowledge, skills, and emotional intelligence, promoting professional growth and strengthening their ability to think, plan, and engage effectively with students.
