77th Independence Day Celebrations
Programme started with the arrival of the parents who were welcomed by beautiful work created by the students. An Exhibition displayed the creativity of the students. A patriotic welcome was given to all present for the celebrations. The importance of flag was highlighted. Every colour symbolises the values of our country. Flag hoisting was done by Dr. Sunita Jakhar, Vice Principal. She was accompanied by coordinators, PTR members, parents. Flag hoisting was followed by a Marchpast by the NCC students. The parade was coordinated with drum beats. Dr. Sapna Singla and Mr. Nikunj Chugh alumni of the school expressed their gratitude for the institution and the teachers for guiding and shaping their lives. A melodious patriotic song, ‘Tum Samay Ki Reet Par Chhote Chalo Nishaan’, was presented by the students. It was appreciated by all. A Hindi poem,’ Kalpana Karo Naveen’, was recited. Students presented a Nukkad Natak on the theme- ‘Minimum Government-Maximum Government’. The ‘Vote of Thanks’, was moved by Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Senior Coordinator. He thanked Vice Principal, PTR members, parents, students, teachers, MTS Staff, Office staff who made this program possible and successful. Highlights of the event : · To revive the importance of indigenous games which have been lost in the digital age, all got a chance to play these games. Parents and students enthusiastically participated in the games like Gilli Danda, Kancha, Pithoo, Chess, Kabaddi, Carrom , Ludo and snakes and ladders. · Students of Pracheen Kala , gave a mesmerising performance in the E Block foyer area. · In celebration one cannot ignore the significance of green cover in our environment. Keeping this in mind saplings were given to parents and alumni of the school. · Parents adopted pigeons from the school menagerie. No celebration is complete without the distribution of delicious ladoos which keep the spirits alive.
