Swachta Abhiyan – Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta Ek Saath
On 1st October 2024, Salwan School organized a sanitation drive in an effort to promote cleanliness and raise awareness about the importance of a hygienic environment. The drive began at 10:00 AM, with around 50 students, teachers, and staff members participating actively. The participants were divided into groups, each assigned different areas surrounding the school premises, including nearby streets, parks, and vacant plots. Armed with gloves, masks, brooms, and garbage bags, the teams meticulously cleaned the designated areas by collecting waste, segregating it into biodegradable and non-biodegradable categories, and disposing it off responsibly.
The drive concluded with an address by the school Principal, who praised the students for their efforts and emphasized the role of youth in creating a sustainable and clean future.
This drive not only enhanced the cleanliness of the surroundings but also instilled a sense of responsibility among students towards maintaining a cleaner environment. The event concluded with a pledge to continue such activities in the future.
