Christmas Celebrations

Salwan Public School, Gurgaon celebrated Christmas on December 23, 2016 to add another valuable chapter to the platinum journey and to joyously mark the 75th year of the Trust's inception.

The celebrations commenced with the prayer, 'Showers of Blessings' followed by 'Lord's Prayer'. Principal Sandhya Awasthi delivered the welcome address. She emphasized on the power of spirituality and faith.

The representative of Delhi Bible Fellowship Church and the school's construction site were given the magic boxes prepared by each class as the expression of gratitude and generosity for the special children of God. This was followed by a symphonious performance by the school Alumnus Blessing R. Jossy.

A mellifluous rendition of carols filled hearts with glorious hope. A folk dance was presented, displaying the cultural heritage of the Santhals of Jharkhand.

A melodic representation of ‘A Christmas Carol’, one of Charles Dickens’ best known plays was performed. “It is more blessed to give than to receive”, emerged as a valuable lesson through the play.

Pastor Arvind Balaram delivered the keynote address. He discussed the real meaning of Christmas and of God's unconditional love.

The celebrations concluded with a vote of thanks by the Head Boy P. Dhwanish and the Head Girl Soundarya Ayyappan.
